LMH my proper waterproof us very lightweight
I pass a cafe at 10m then again about 10m later so depending on weather I may grab takeout!!
If I loop home the temptation to stop will be too great and anyway miserable is good mental training for a marathon after a 2.4m swim and 112m bike 😃
Positive thinking and all that

You'd be most welcome, LMH :) We'd need those bump devices, though, because my extended bubble is enormous and I wouldn't like to risk making you ill.

Sort of half-arsedly carb-loading. I need to get on to it properly now I've done my last pre-race exercise session.

I think I’m going to be in my waterproof jacket all day, it looks like it’s going to be a rerun of my last race before lockdown weather-wise.

Mine is very lightweight too Pixie but very effective. Now you see that's where your PMA is slightly awry - I always used to look forward to the run as it meant that I was on the last leg and it was all down to me - my race could no longer be ended by a mechanical.

That's something I hadn't considered V'rap - I'm very sheltered though the downside of that is I'm also very isolated :-(

I can't see my jacket coming off if the forecast is correct Frag.

Don’t get me wrong LMH I’ll be thrilled the bike is finished and I know I can do a marathon so therefore my head will be saying we are finishing now (on the bike I’ll be constantly worried about time mechanics and finishing it)

It was always the prospect of a mechanical that really worried me Pixie - most of the rest of it is under your control to a greater degree.

Watched the weather

Heavy rain tomorrow

Hmm might need to avoid the canal and rethink route again!

We have heavy rain forecast tomorrow too. I'm hoping it will wash the roads clear of tractor droppings. I've pretty much settled on a loop that isn't likely to flood and is reasonably clean underfoot at the moment.
