NE- I mostly like my x-talons for being minimal with awesome grip (the 200s are even better than my old 212s IMO), that they are reasonable on road and hard pack is a bonus.

I would still probably wear claws (x- or mud-) for winter/snowy/really muddy runs as they are far warmer, don't carry as much mud, and have more room for a thicker sock.

They're all good shoes, and we're taking small differences.

Something else I heard is that the 200 is for the chop :-( Shame, I like them too, but use them for races that have no roads involved!

Me too. Think the 212 is a more comfortable shoe though, I will never forgive them for dropping it in standard fit :-(

There's some crap on the FRA FB page this morning about it still being available. It's not, not in the size I want anyhow.

Just remembered some more goss on this subject - the 212, 200 and 225 talons are all going to be retired, they will be replaced by the X-talon 230, but I don't know if it will come in both fittings. The 190 is also going to be reintroduced because the fast boys like them.
