Feeling the fittest, strongest, I've ever felt, I can only mess it up from here! What are people's plans for the last three and a bit weeks? |

I anticipate spending the next three and a bit weeks at work. I'd hoped when I entered that I'd have a decent opportunity to train for this one, but nope I still plan to start and to keep striding out till it's my bedtime, provided nothing kiboshes my ability to get registered. I've booked a day off, but last time I booked a day off before an ultra it got overwhelmed by someone else's more urgent needs. |

Despite what I thought was a good block of training, all my events this year say I'm in the worse shape for years, so assuming I manage to get my head into a start to state my aim is going to be to get around and try to enjoy it. I'm going on an all-inclusive holiday, just to make sure I'm even further from my desired racing weight than I currently am! |

Another couple of easy days to recover from the weekend. Then hopefully one or two 10 milers before a couple of weeks winding down again. Tiredness from the weekend has kicked in today so another good nights sleep should sort that out. |

One last long run on Sunday, then just short runs (3-5 miles) interspersed with walks amd rest days. Easy daily yoga and a few kettlebells sessions with a light weight just to keep everything moving and firing properly. Lots of sleep and good food I'm going to start my packing lists soon because that is the most stressful bit for me! |

Be great to see you all. Although unless V'Rap and Dave drop by on the Friday you'll be long gone by the time I get to Dalemain.

Yes. Just now 😉 I've just bought some new x-talons so hopefully they'll be broken in by race day. Current ones have 400 plus and walking has taken a bit of toll on the heel studs in particular. |

My shoes for the event are worn-in but not worn-out. The plan is Hoka Clifton's (lighter and more nimble) to Dalemain. Then the super cushioned monsters, Stinson's, from Dalemain.

The shoes themselves art are fine, but some of the studs have really flattened off so I'm going for the option of grey studs in case it's wet.
