Anyone doing it? I think entries open on the 1st Sept if you're thinking of doing so.

I'm dithering. I missed last year but did 2014 and 2015 - any course changes?

In 2017 the L100 course will be back to normal I think?

Can't keep away, FR ;) Do you plan to keep doing some cycling as part of your training?

Putting yourself through it again FR? I saw you got round the 50 OK, presumably this has inspired you to give it another shot?

I'm done with this race, but Bobs wants to target a UK 100 and this one would play to her strengths. I think she'll be putting an entry in.

V'Rap, 'yes' and 'no' to the cycling. My perception after finishing the 50 is that I need to work on my stabiliser muscles, so from 1st January 2017 I will decrease the cycling and increase off-road running/walking. But between now and end of the year my training will be 3-4 days running, loads of cycling and as much swimming as I can fit in.

NE, 'yes' I'm hoping for third time 'lucky'. Older and wiser. I'm fairly sure I know what I need to do to get around both in terms of training and race day(s) pacing.

I'm sure the best predictor of eventual success is to take away the lessons of the previous time and try again instead of giving up :) I DNS'd the 50 two years ago after I went off my rocker and my training plans and mental resilience went down the drain, but would like to try to improve on my 2009 time.

NE, I am sure Bobs will do the 100 justice :)

Having dns'd the 100 this year I should probably be having another go at it, but I can't really get very excited about it. Most of the route, especially the second half, is so uninspiring.

Mind you, my back stilΔΊ isn't fixed, so who knows when I could actually start training.

jacdaw, those with a long memory will recall me saying similar a few years back. However this year I loved the fifty.

In all honesty the only bit that I find dull on the whole L100(5) is the bloody coach road!!
