I've been out for my first run since the hundred this evening. Lovely run out at 'social pace' from my local pub. Just a small issue of a large chunk of the skin from my right foot coming off when I took my socks off afterwards

I was hoping tonight might have been the start of a summer streak but even a mile 'saver' will be tough tomorrow

Funnily enough I was about to post on the birdwatchers' thread that we still have some swifts in the village so you're absolutely correct!

I'm removing chunks of my feet most night while watching TV. Kinky is not overly impressed with my nightly pickings
Done a few runs over the last couple of weeks, but definitely heavy-legged still. Hoping to get some spring back soon.

Stef has been 'picking' too but I thought mine were okay until last night!
L100 is next year's target event. I don't like being beaten. I was telling a club-mate last night about chatting with you flanker back at the school on the Sunday morning

yep, going to be back again next year (assuming I can get in!). I most certainly don't like being beaten 4 times in a row.
At least now I know that I am more than capable of it if I can keep my body together (or more to the point now I've got some sensible medical advice about what I can do with painkillers to keep me moving if I do get problems). I also know that I can keep moving even when the feet are falling apart, even if the after effects aren't much fun.
Just wish I didn't have to wait 12 months to put this to bed...

I'm not going to say I underestimated how hard L100 but let's just say it was even tougher than I expected. Stef and I have already sorted out some training plans for next spring
