4.2 I did the 1sr section of the 100 from Coniston to Walna Scar car park then back down the road. I also didcthd last section from Tilberthwaite yesterday. It’s much easier on fresh legs.

Me and Mrs finished the 100 earlier today. Not as early as I might have hoped, but a finish is a finish and that's all we went for. Lots of cold wet and windy. Her feet are pretty messed up, they slowed us down on rough ground at the end.

Grand weekend.

I'm sure I got a shout from Mrs Shanksi at the end. And a couple of Dingdings from Johnny Fling amongst others.

Interesting reading this thread back today. Until around 11am today I had no idea where I'd finished or where I'd been at any point. So many disappeared up the road leaving Coniston and never appeared to come back that after having a rough patch climbing out of Wasdale and the shambles of the last 15 miles I thought I'd be lucky to have broken the top 100. Apparently NE tried to tell me last night but I interpreted his comment that around 90% were behind to be that I'd finished around the 90s!!

Never had quads as mashed as I have today. Even after the BG. My streak from Nov 2014 had to end a week on Thursday anyway but I can't see me making it out today.

This was intended as a one off but if I get myself fit enough to do it justice I may well be back to try run a 100% of a good race rather than just the first 80-90%, we shall see.
