Totally in awe well done everybody. I see KS finished, sorry to see flanker had to stop at CP11. A clubmate and friend was doing it for the first time, she had to stop at CP12 (90 miles?) due to an ankle injury which she limped on for the last 20 miles. So proud of her xx

I don't think people realise how tough it has been this year. The weather has been wild for July. The stories of Fusedale and High Kop are incredible.

Diabolical conditions are to be expected during the Spine series but Lakeland in July should surely be more clement.

Ten people still out on course. Two 100ers and eight 50ers. Non stop liquid sunshine since 5am.

Been incommunicado at Wasdale, just catching up. Weather atrocious!
Well done Bobs and Finn, sounds extremely tough.
From baking hot on Saturday to very wet and horribly windy yesterday and worse this morning- much respect to all who got round- and those brave enough to start.
( Iβve binned the idea of hiking anywhere today, too little visibility and too wild to be responsible for teen and dog)

Think itβs rubbish all over Northern England and Midlands Rosehip. A day for coffee, reading Wainwrights and the pencil museum
