I’ll be on the bus again RH although I’m running with a friend this year so we’ll need to take over two rows 😂😂👍.
I know we shouldn’t be looking at the forecast this far ahead but I am toying with the idea with some more grippy shoes…. Will prob stick with the Hokas as I’ve not run more than 20 miles in the more grippy alternative but it is increasingly looking like it’s going to be a tad damp certainly under foot 😱😱

I am not wearing last years shoes!
Did (what I did) of the lt55 in the xtrail ultras I had originally bought for the 50 and then changed my mind about.
If I swap some newer boomerang insoles into them they may be my choice. But also struggling to decide!

My kit will be the same whatever. Particularly as I don't care about the result. What will be will be.

I’m sticking with my Brooks Cascadias - they’re a great trail shoe with a bit more grip than road shoes, but without losing any of the comfort and support of road shoes.

I'm pretty set on my Hoka's for the same reasons Synge, i just remember the total lack of confidence running down towards Kentmere where i lost a good chunk of time compared to the previous dry year .........

And I spent too much time on my moon last year wearing my graphene-no grips :) but is there anything that grips wet rock?

It’s going to be wet, but at least it doesn’t look like being hot like ‘22 was :)

It's too early to be sure what the weather will do yet. But odds are it will do a bit of everything, as per usual. If it can keep the humidity dialled down that'll do for me.

Trailfly 270s for me. Worn from everything from fell races to road races over the last few years. And they are one of the few shoes that grip wet rock reasonably well. If only they were half decent on wet mud...

I'll happily sacrifice grip for a pair of shoes that won't chew my feet up and spit out the pieces. A pair of Nike Goretex did the job last year when some of the footpaths turned into streams.

X talons for me. They’ll hurt if I have a rough patch. Well, my feet will, that usually happens.
