I guess that maybe 40 years ago it was considered funny if you were gay and no one wanted to be seen to be gay.
You immediately tilt your head to the right to read the paper and thus out yourself as gay and open to ridicule.
Playground humour at best and not appropriate in today’s age.

I'm guessing the joke is that the paper is tilted so you tilt your head, meaning you're gay.
Which is, I suspect, being used as a playground insult, except this is 2020 and really?
But no, not funny, and kind of vaguely offensive as it's homophobic but it's really just a bit pathetic more than anything.

Exactly... so Stander and those that liked it (2 before it was removed) think being considered gay is still a negative thing. Says alot about their insecurities and their own attitudes.

Sadly some people still think like that, but there does seem to be less of them these days. Sadly the ones thinking that way are quite vocal and strident but they're also both outnumbered and wrong.
