Must say the names of the Related Threads don't seem to be that much more PC than how this thread was named.
How about: "I will not eat differently today" "Fetchie 'personal choice in body composition' fighters" "The 'Why the heck do you need to lose (or gain) weight, weight loss (or gain ) thread" "The belt notch club: get fit, enjoy music" "Advice for a newbie who may or may not be at optimal racing weight?"

My tuppence worth.... I'm ok with a renaming, I agree it's not helpful to use words like fat git (or skinny) any more. I hadn't really thought about it before, because neither phrase bothers me personally. But body shaming language isn't OK, so I'm good with taking that out the thread title. Might have helped to flag the change before it happened?
I'd be interested to know if some people are trying to gain weight and would find this thread helpful, or whether they'd find a specific weight gain thread useful. I have a friend who's really struggled to gain weight, and was underweight whilst breastfeeding - she was trying to increase fat and protein intake, focusing on healthy eating. I'm also trying to look at my macros but with a slight calorie deficit to lose weight, she's got a calorie surplus to gain weight. I guess the question is whether a single thread provides useful support to all. Probs a rhetorical question!

The new title seems a touch mimsy. Did "about a stone" have to go in case it was seen as supporting Brexit?
What about "Inbetweeners - looking to drop a few kilos"?
I've not really contributed before (if at all) as I've not been actively doing much about it: it being the fact that I am undoubtedly a bit overweight and it is also undoubtedly excess fat which is the reason. Although I've also headed somewhat north of the "about a stone" bit now
(And it's certainly not about "racing weight" - that would be three stones )

I've been rereading the first few pages. Instructive. Although, over ten years, I suppose it may have wandered a bit.

FWIW: I came here because of the title... I was about a stone overweight, but my BMI was well within healthy... However: I couldn't fit into my clothes any more and was unhappy with the flab, needing to buy bigger clothes etc!!! So with the help of this thread, I lost my stone... We need a title that describes the methodology and target audience. With the current title, I would skip!

Bob!
Yes, same as Hanneke, being (just under) a stone overweight.
'Inbetweenies - would like to lose up to a stone' ?
