Hello! Thanks for asking! I’m now 6 weeks (and a couple of days) post op. I saw the consultant last week and all is healing well. However I’ve been warned off doing too much too soon as there’s still a lot of healing to do and scar tissue needs time to thicken and strengthen. So - no more than a gentle walk for now, as far as exercise is concerned. I’m addressing the weight gain though, calorie counting and eating nutritional foods. I’m down 3lbs but still a few to go to get to pre-surgery weight. Onwards! |

Hello all, i have been reading some blogs and hope everything is going well for you all. i think just having some sunnier and warmer weather helps me with regards eating, also less work anxiety is a big factor. I have started to try and address this, and had a conversation this week about moving roles at my company, so fingers crossed. |

GM: I hope some routine can be established soon for you. Alice: That sounds a good healthy start with weight loss and will do so well till you can exercise .Well done. lammo I hope you can move roles and have less stress in your life. Stress affects us all in different ways. For myself stress makes me lose my appetite. PT day and lightest on G's scales ever down 1.2 kilos.I have also decided to walk an hour in afternoon not on LSR day but every other day if possible because if I had kept Molly I would have to walk her. |

👋 Hi! Sounds like you're making progress, AtC. Good news. I think giving yourself chance to settle in your new home is important, GM. Hope you get some positive news regarding your job, lammo. Work stress can make such a difference. I know it did for me. Well done on the weight loss, WP. 👏 I have been monitoring my weight recently because it had started to creep up a bit. I've been cutting out the extra snacks I'd been sneaking in, and this seems to be making a difference. Will do a weight check tomorrow. |

lol Lammo 😁 I’m back working hard in the gym. My arms are completely mashed this week. I had a chat with my coach yesterday and decided I don’t want to keep getting weighed every week (or day in my case) as it’s turning a bit toxic, so I’m going to just weigh at the end of each month and shift my focus off food towards exercise. My aim is to be strong and independent long into old age - I can do that if I’m a few lb overweight but not if I don’t focus on building muscle and practising my balancing skills. |

Having a good holiday makes it worth it @lammo I was planning on doing a weight check this week but, in the end, didn't get round to it. Might next week depending on how things are with family matters. With the current stressor I'm not worrying too much. |

And yes. Considering my mum's current issues, I'd say... not focusing on weight so much and shifting focus to maintaining strength for independence into old age is a very good idea, @GimmeMedals
