Well done Muttley

Some races have the full range of Vet Prizes, some don't.

Well done Muttley

I took part in a Grand Prix event of four races a few years back and although I didn’t come in first place in any of the races, because I took part in them all I gained sufficient points to come top of my category.
There were far better runners than me taking part but you have to be in it to win it.

Well done :) That can be a viciously competitive age category. (I've sometimes taken the F50-59 prize in a local race because the person who was actually first in category was also in the first three overall.)

57.5 Degrees of Pain
I once did a race where each (10 year) age group had an 18 year old malt for first, 12yo for 2nd and 'ordinary' 8yo for 3rd. I managed 3rd MV40 but my friend was the only FV70 and walked of with the good stuff!

Got something to say?

... you might land a pot one day even if you're just a mid- to back-of-the-pack plodder. Doesn't matter that I was the only contestant in this category. Or that most of the guys in the M65+ crowd were ahead of me by a country mile -- they've had more time to train, anyway.

You've got to be in it to win it!
