The ash didn’t taste of anything. It’s such a thin layer, you don’t notice it.

I finally remembered to have a look at the Alpen-fest cheese I have been munching, on to the second pack of it now!

Bergsteirer (Alpen-fest, Lidl)

= 15

I have also bought a couple more different ones, but haven't opened them yet.

Yes, this is not a bad thing :)

Both our supermarkets in town (Lidl, Tesco) have a reasonable everyday selection and a few specials. We also have a deli in town, which I am yet to explore. Lots more cheese to be had.

Pretty similar. Sainsbury and Aldi. Big Morrisons a few miles away but a nice deli nearer. Saving that when the local choices run out!

Back for 2023!! You know what to do :)

Inspired by the Christmas Cheese thread and the 50 Fruit and Veg in 2022 thread, how many different types of cheese can you eat in 2022?

I've had a rummage in the fridge and so far I have consumed -

(Valley Spire) Medium Cheddar
(Tesco) Red Leicester
(Tesco) Shropshire Blue
(Shepherds Purse) Harrogate Blue
(Tesco) Neufchatel
(Aldi) Spicy Cheddar
(Aldi) Wensleydale with cranberries
(Milbona) Cream cheese

I make that 8 varieties so far!

I have some more in the fridge to go...
