Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Entered 4, actually finished just 1!

All Ultra's.

The completed one was a big PB.

One was cancelled mid-race due to the weather, got a non-competitive finish.

Two DNF's, one to PF and one to heat exhaustion.

It hasn't been my year!!

(I think there may also be a Club TT or two, but can't be sure off the top of my head.)

Just two. A re-arranged half-marathon in February. Then, a full marathon in May.

Only other planned race this year is a second full-marathon in October.

I don't get PBs any more. So, I only enter races that appeal to me for other reasons.

2 x marathons (although the first one was two hot for me too race)
1 x 20 mile
4 x half marathons (only raced the second one, was ill for the first and two hot for the third and fourth - should have been 5 but one was cancelled due to snow)
2 x 10 miles (too hot for the second - is anyone spotting a theme? ;-))
1 x 8 mile
1 x 10,000 metres (too hot!!!)
2 x 4 mile
4 x 5K
1 x 3 mile
1 x 2 mile
3 x 1 mile (couldn't really race the first one as it was two days before the second marathon, and five days after the first)
plus 2 XC races (a third was cancelled due to snow), one relay race, and 21 parkruns, about 7 of which I'd say I "raced"

So, 45 if you include all the parkruns, 24 if you don't

Because there have been a few comments Re: Parkruns - see the descriptions on the RHS.

In short: Parkruns = races.

About This Thread

Maintained by rf_fozzy
Title says it all - how many races have you done this (calendar) year.

Races are anything that produces published results (either paper or online or anything similar) with times and/or positions.

This therefore includes (but not limited to): Road Races, Fell Races, Cycle Races, Triathlons, Aquathlons, Duathlons, Parkruns (whether you actually "raced" them or not), Orienteering races, Track races (i.e. any T&F), Cross Country, Trail Races, Sportives, Adventure races, Mountain Marathons, Crits, time trials etc.....

Races with multiple stages with an overall result (a la tour de France) are separate races if there are results published for each day. So, 2 day Mountain Marathons are 2 races.

Adventure races where it is continuous = 1 race.

Parkruns are Races!! End of.
