that was it! hi!

I am aching too - possibly more than him due to the driving but a great day, so proud of him.

Had a few upas and downs during the race but pleased to get the job done.

Was really hot in parts, mucho thanks to Happy G for the water top up with 6 miles to go, so nice to see a friendly face and his description of what was to come was spot on.

I absolutely loved it, 5th time and my favourite because everything was good, weather, company and I felt great and was able to run all the way. I'd made a pact to stay with my training partner RitchieC (Mr Tomsmum) and we started with GeriBeri, Ron Burgundy, and Lawspurs and stayed with them the whole way. It's the friendliest race, I chatted to so many Fetchies and random folk along the way, too many to mention. Organisation was brilliant, marshals etc, lovely to see you at the finish Duchess. Missed you speedy people like santa, will need a hug at whw. Well done all, especially the first timers, it was lovely to be with folk seeing the route for the first time and on such a stunning day for the views.

Was a good moment when I got a text to say our Stonehaven Top Dogs had won the relay again.

Only bad point was the fb tracking app only registered me at Drymen then fb closed my account as they thought there had been suspicious behaviour! Had to sort fb out this morn. We drove home last night so missed the party, I hope you all had a good time.

It was obviously something to do with the tracker as it happened to me and Ian B too.

That was a bit of a good day out. Loved it all, especially bouncing over the rocks beyond Inversnaid.
Many good memories. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Well that was my first ultra! I had really doubted I could do it as I never made it above 20 miles in my training plan. Just had to dig deep and embrace the pain. Was delighted to get in under 13 hours as my only target was finishing. Can barely move today mind! I think I'll be back...
