Road test of new bumbag completed. I do wonder why Inov8 have not kept the brilliant front-of-hip wee pockets? They were so good. Never mind - I'll use it on Saturday.

Weather quite unbelievably awesome in Scotland right now, just superb being out there. With blue, blue skies, my legs took me 1000ft up the nearest hill, but it was only just over 3 miles, and super-duper gentle (lots of walking and careful descending) so I'll be ok for the fling. And I'm certainly not playing a game of hockey tomorrow, having learnt from the D33 that doing that the day before a race is not very clever.

Better think about those drop bags things next, but I'm helping at Beavers in an hour so maybe later...

If we could have this weather on Saturday I'd be cock a hoop. Good luck everyone, we train in all sorts of weather for the fact we can get any weather. Gavin, I am going to be so looking forward to a hug from you, one thing that sped me on at Cateran was knowing you were at bridge of cally. These things make such a difference

57.5 Degrees of Pain
My erstwhile support runner from previous events was quite disappointed to hear that he was not allowed to have a wee jaunt this time. Meanwhile my wife is very glad that her role is to hang out with her friend and turn up at the end at some point.

Just a pity that the proper Scottish spring weather returns just in time for the race.

Just working on dropbags now!

Last training run done in some very hot afternoon conditions.

I'm actually quite pleased it will be a bit cooler on Saturday.

Can't wait to register on the way home from work tomorrow.

Happy to be sleeping in my own bed tomorrow night after sleeping in a tent for my first ultra.
