I use Jabra Evolve 75's. Awesome headset and great at cutting out unwanted noise for you and the listener. The pc software that it comes with gives you even more refinement possibilities.

If you can connect your hearing aid directly to your phone then why not download the Teams App on your phone and join the meeting on your phone? If you need to be "on camera" on your laptop webcam, then join on both phone and laptop simultaneously, but have the laptop muted?

I would suggest using the transcript option but there are usually too many errors, especially if people on the call aren't clear enough.

connected with hearing aids and phone this morning and it's soooo much better than you for the top tip!

(Rather annoyingly it's a daily totally useless meeting that has to be done but no one knows why as we all just read out numbers!)

I suspect you could also pester the right department for Teams suitable hearing aids of some kind, if participating in Teams is needed in your job. Do they have an Occupational Health (or similar) dept to assess/assist you?

Did you get anywhere with connecting your blueteeth aids to the pc? All my headsets happily connect to phone & computer.

have mailed the hearing aid company re BT to multiple devices and not had a reply

now I know how much better it is I will def push for better headset

I made a "thing" of testing this morning and boss (who doesn't have hearing issues) also said that she finds teams call hard when people are talking around her so that probably helps!

obvious issue with using phone is that it uses my data - I have tried but can't connect to work wifi (they fixed that pre covid as everyone was connecting their phones to it!)

It might be an idea for your employers to have a look at Access to Work. It's a grant scheme to obtain suitable equipment, software and hardware for a particular user if they did not want to purchase IT equipment in bulk.

About This Thread

Can anyone recommend a good headset to use with teams that has a USB connection and most importantly will help with hearing aid users

I have mine at 100% and it seems quiet still but when I up the volume on my aids it just amplifies the office noise

So I guess I need one which covers the whole of the ear and aid? would that be classed as noise cancelling??

Thanks
Pix
