I can't stand 105 it is clunky and horrible, Ultegra on almost everything with Dura on two bikes

E14/10a next Tuesday is off due to dangerous road surface, I'm told. Moved to E91/10.
This is unlikely to effect anyone here, but just in case anyone wants an early season midweek blast on a comparatively quick course.

Gobi, one problem is that I have no first hand experience.
The cycling mags seem to be suggesting that 105 is now so improved that it doesn't necessarily make sense to go for something better. I think that was Gerp's view too - I originally said I'd go for Ultra but he put me off the idea.

Certainly 105 is very much an improvement on Tiagra and sits in a good place on the price/performance curve.
Both my Cannondales started life as 105 - bits are upgraded to Ultegra as and when they wear out.

I have bikes with new ultegra, new 105, old 105 and tiagra and I do rate new 105, and agree that it's a nice compromise between price and performance.
