I panicked and pressed the 'go' button on the Stages app - I was checking my battery at the time.
At least it isn't an update from Garmin.
Does anyone else use Stages here? I think the PoD got cross and threw his in the recycling a while back.

In the May Cycling Active there is a comparison of Shimano 105 road bikes.
The Planet X RT80 option came out on top. The review has persuaded me to actually part with money.
However, it now appears that Planet X do not have a singe 105 groupset in stock.
Turds.

I did say many moons ago that 105 was the way, rather than Ultegra...

I know. I listened to you (:-0), hence my (apparently futile) choice.

I like the way that (:-0) comes out like Munch's The Scream.

Have you thought about the rather bland Ribble option if you're determined to avoid giving money to your LBS?

I am not determined, but not sure about my LBS options.

I think it matters less as long as you buy it from *someone's* LBS, unless the machine is manufactured in UK (assuming anything still gets manufactured in the UK :-().

There's the rub. What my two genuine LBSs sell is Giant. Great bikes but made in Taiwan. Whereas Planet X is UK.
