Yeah, jda, that's it.
I don't 'need' a date - if they don't have it right now, fair enough, I'm not bothered.
Not anywhere near the biggest issue, just a tiny little gripe from someone who's a bit frazzled (OH is self-employed).

I quite like the positivity and "something to look forward to". Gives a distraction from everything else which is so relentless depressing.

Personally I don't think the roads are big enough to cope with both the half and full marathon simultaneously, but let's wait and see.

Can’t make that date. For £10 fee you can defer to 2021 but have to do it by March 26th. A date for the 2021 would be useful before I hand over another tenner.

11 October it is. Some options on deferral (for £10). Not sure if I will run this (assuming races are back on in autumn anyway) - I am signed up for Berlin at the end of September, so this is a bit tight after that.

PErhaps this would work for half / full - start the half first, say 9am. Then 10am start the full. Very few marathoners would catch the half-ers, roads would need to be closed for longer, but there'd be little to no additional congestion especially if the half course doesn't go all the way into the city centre.

"What will be different about the October Marathon? At this stage we are still working out exact details, but we are fully expecting it to be the same incredible experience that we had planned, including our fantastic flat course, and famously friendly atmosphere. The event will share the same date as the Tommy’s Manchester Half, although both will remain separate, ensuring clear roads and an incredible experience. It’s likely the event will start slightly later than originally planned, but still begin in the morning."

I've just deferred to 2021 (having previously deferred from 2019).
If I'm going to run a marathon on 11 October this year, I may as well save the travel and accommodation costs by running locally - Stirling Marathon is the same day.
