Yes - jda. We will have to find each other and try to break 2:45. We have an extra year to prepare.

Nike have an extra year to stick better springs in their soles Actually part of my cunning plan for this year was the hope that the newest shoe would come out in time for the event (and that it would be significantly faster for me, which isn't a given). |

Think I'll be deferring as well. I dont particularly want to do a summer marathon training plan. Want to focus on the track (if we get back to that point) and then run a fast half instead to try and get championship time for london. So actually, I may just get a refund.

I may opt to switch to Chester, mainly to support a provider that I know does a cracking job and I want to be able to sustain. Though the more charitable side of me is wondering whether I sign up to Chester and leave my cash with both providers, assuming I'll race one and DNS the other, as it feels a little mean to be recovering money from a race organiser at this point when they may struggle otherwise. I know and trust Chester as a course too, and having two races a week apart gives me the option to play the weather game. Though as i type this I realise I'll actually be down spectating in London on Chester race day, so that all sounds a little wasteful now! Not quite as nice as supporting local businesses (a Chinese restaurant that we use a couple of times a year has switched to delivery only, and I'll be using them at least once when we don't need to just to make sure they continue to get some trade). |

So, do people think we’re likely to get the point where we’re not allowed out for a run even on our own?

And if so, can anybody recommend a compact, reasonably priced treadmill!

Fordy - this might be a good start in terms of what features to look for depending on type of use etc treadmillreviews.net It's a US site so prices are in $ but gives you an idea of what you might want in terms of size, incline, motor power, top speed, etc. Sports Direct ( as an example ) still seem to have lots in stock ( although if a lockdown announced imagine there be a rush on them ) ranging from £350 to over £2000. Depends on your definition of "reasonably priced". Quite a few with 50% off, eg a Reebook from £1200 down to £600, etc I'm not a treadmill user/owner so not best placed to advise but like you and I guess many others starting to think about it |

This might be a more useful site treadmill-running-machine-review.co.uk Has lots of reviews, and recommended models in different price bands |
