Pencilled in for me Nelly - loved the race and it's brilliant how it has developed over the years. Best road marathon going Imo.

I wonder if there's any risk of it being the same weekend as VLM? My better half won't be able to get VLM weekend off work so looking at an alternative spring marathon, very tempted by Manchester but not sure I want to part with pennies before the date is known!

CS - The organisers have stated they will avoid VLM weekend (for example https://www.facebook.com/Gtrmanchestermarathon/posts/432915053499912?comment_id=433312576793493&reply_comment_id=433327933458624&total_comments=5&comment_tracking=%7B%22tn%22%3A%22R%22%7D). I would imagine the only chance of there being a clash with VLM is if the football fixtures are released and Man Utd are at home on 3rd, 10th and 17th April, which is almost impossible.

This time next week we should hopefully have a better idea when next years race will be, as the Premier League fixtures are announced on Wednesday morning
If you've already entered don't forget to log-on and add your "Name for your race number" (which is an option the organisers have added that I don't think was previously on the entry form)

So the Premier League football fixtures have been announced and it looks almost certainly that next years race date will be SUNDAY 10th APRIL
27/03 - NO, as Easter
03/04 - NO, Man Utd Vs Everton
10/04 - POSSIBLE, Man Utd Away
17/04 - NO, Man Utd Vs Aston Villa
24/04 - UNLIKELY, as clashes with London Marathon, but Man Utd Away
31/04 - NO, Man Utd Vs Leicester

Has it been made official yet? What about Man City fixtures?? They had a late kick off in 2015 but a lunchtime kick off would create all sorts of chaos ......
