I'm all over the shop, hoping that my compression gear will pull me back together and I appear on the start line a little more composed.
I note it's looking warm and wet, perhaps not the worst combination.
In an attempt to regain focus I have nominated Nelly as MotM for April, I think he's done rather sterling work on this thread. Thank you!

Thanks WW, but you do realise I'm the race director incognito promoting my own race? I've never ran a step in my life and I've no idea who the photo on the left is
I know what you mean iain, I'd get a room in the local Travelodge to avoid the kid's bugs and the wife deciding she's going out drinking on Saturday night (?!?!?), if it wasn't already full of bloody runners for some race on Sunday!

Thanks for the train prompt Nelly - would have been a good option but for the three quarter hour wait for a connection at Piccadilly that you could not possibly have known about. I reckon there's a fair chance that even a slow bus trip can make that up.

how are we all doing today...? Just done my longest run of the week (apart from the marathon)...5 steady miles with 4x1 min strides thrown in during the run.
Looking forward to the marathon now although I think I could with just two more weeks of training to be fully ready...but then I always think that..!!!

Nice steady 7 miles for me today - not risking any strides this week, always feel there's a chance of pulling something when doing strides.
Might do a couple of miles at PMP tomorrow tho', then got a sports massage after tomorrow's run.

8 miles for me tonight at around 10 secs below MP, no strides for me either, too scared of pulling something. then just 1 wee 5 miler on thursday and relax!
