Sorry RJR, you are a *bit* tight, that's not bad for a marathon really. We do get spoilt by VLM being so cheap (subsidised by charities and sponsorship). Most city marathons are £40+, far more in Ireland, and usually £100 minimum in the US.

Even compare it to the £30+ for the Great Manchester Run, which is a quarter of the distance (admitedly it involves city centre road closures and several councils, unlike this one)
Anybody know if this is a one-off for the Olympic year, or is it intended to be a regular feature again?
