I'm a shocking over-thinker, so I love me a good mantra. Remember a professional decades ago getting me to put an empty range basket between my thigs then 'bump, turn, drop the basket, turn'.
I think his point was to do with engaging the left leg. Screwed me up for years.
Yeah, that sounds awful. I think the key is to be able to fairly quickly translate what the Pro is trying to get you to do into our own language, our own "feels". And create our own meaningful mantra as a result. Not necessarily the same as his/her words at all.
Nice strike. I think you're also a bit 'handsy' like me in the takeaway; I'm trying (and not really getting it yet) to move hands/arms/shoulders altogether at first, and break wrists later on. It's hard.
I'm going in a minute. I've been working with a PT in the gym on my posture. I now have utterly no idea what to do with my shoulders holding a golf club.
