Well, wouldn't you know it - eldest has now sorted out his work problems so he's on for going to the gig again. Ah well.

flanker wrote:The Howl & The Hum tonight at Gorilla. First performance back after a 3+ year gap, a decimation and rebuild of the band, and I suspect overcoming some other problems. Still one of my all time favourite live bands.
@flanker How was it? Couldn't make this but did see them couple of years back pre decimation in a little pub in Leicester (I think) and agreed on the live bit.

Trust Fund + support at Florence Park Community Centre

I've long been a fan of Ellis Jones' song writing and singing - he just observes English awkwardness so well; and then to hear it sung so sweetly was the icing on the cake. This was a great little gig. I bought the latest Trust Fund CD to add to my collection.

I was recommended Trust Fund only yesterday (on the Los Campesinos newsletter) and was checking out his album last night. Tis very good, I'll be investigating back catalogue further!

Brilliant. Sam got quite emotional at it being a near sell-out and everyone singing all the new tracks back to him.
