I'd second the removable plates, I spend ages cleaning mine with kitchen roll, it's not very well thought out! (Easier when still warm)
I use mine for toasties, burgers, sausages and sometimes asparagus

We use ours regularly. When it needs cleaning we get another one from the car boot sale!

i love how duffo says "thanks guys" , which would effectively close the conversation.... no chance of that in this joint!!
I have an old one with bun warmers... use it for allsorts including toasties etc.
I have never ironed a tie on it. but then, i have probably never ironed a tie.......
to clean the George (as it is affectionately known in our house), I usually have it side on to the edge of the sink and the crud just runs away as you clean it.........

I've used my new one more in the last two weeks than probably the previous six months.
Sausages, halloumi, chips, more sausages, toastie, falafel, potato wedges. Given that it has removable plates, I should probably give them a clean.
(Doesn't everyone call theirs "The George" ;-)?)
