Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Some people might welcome that, Stu. Glenn may be ordering one as I type.

Another tip: chequered toasties - rotate toastie through ninety degrees whilst cooking.

we use ours a lot. Although it's usually known as the Harry Potter in my house due to my inability to remember George Foreman's name.

Bought one of these when they were all the rage. It didn't work so got a replacement, which didn't work. Got a refund and used the grill ever since :-)

Why am I being abused on an apparently random thread?

FWIW I have a Cuisinart one that opens out flat and can also be used as a griddle:

Ooh, now that's fancy. Do you use it much? And it looks weighty, does it squash things? One flaw with my latest is flattened food.

My dad has one of those, GlennR. It works very well! It squashes things a little bit, Dvorak.
