I burnt my ukulele. Then I realised I was using my George Formby grill.

Well, they are certainly worthwhile if you like to grill things (which I do, two or three times a week.) I did like my old one better (one of the first ones, with bun warmer) than its replacement though. The second had a higher power* and I was used to a slow grilling. Also, the high position lock was not so useful, the plates really need to be in contact with the food.
Both were replaced when they became impossible to clean properly and for a third grill I got one from Lidl which had removable plates and could be used opened up. It's proved not as good in several ways and I think I'd have been better with another George or similar.
Tip: grilled chips. Much quicker than using the oven.
*not in the sense of being a spiritual grill.
