I have read up of course SPR - just wondering if there were Fetchie opinions. I do realise that it is a bit down the food chain for the serious athletes to have bothered with ;-)

If it let's you set up intervals (via watch but only simple run/recovery types) and workouts (more complicated multi-step ones via Garmin Connect) like the 245 or my 230 before it, it's pretty easy.

The 35 was good enough for Cheptegei's 5000m WR, lol. Maybe drop him a comment for more details on the watch ;-)

Interesting fact re Cheptegei - maybe I will ;-)

(It seems that the 35 is very similar to the 30 - but the 30 doesn't have intervals. But is the same list price (and in actual price, more expensive).)

Sigh
My daughter uses my wife's old FR35, she's wearing it to school at the moment but I can check on the interval function later. As you may already know, the best way to set up intervals on Garmin is to do it on the Garmin Connect webpage and then send it to the watch, but I can check how well the 35 copes with it.

If Sigh can't help.

Cheptegei's WR activity: strava.com

Re intervals/ workouts. What you create via Garmin Connect is a workout. If a watch says it does intervals but doesn't say workouts, it probably means it only does the variety that is edited on the watch not via Garmin Connect.

@SPR - I've probably lost lost a little fitness over the week, but not that much; in the space of a week the VO2max has dropped back to the level it was at the end of May (after I came back from a 5-6 week layoff due to illness).

A couple of the runs where it's recalculated have been below 70% maxHR for the entire run, but I've also had a couple of shockers. It always feels incredibly arbitrary to me.

AndyS - I agree 3 points in a week is silly. I'd suggest dodgy data but I had the opposite a couple of weeks back.

Re recalculate when 70% for the whole run, would be interesting to see the runs that applies to.

EP - No runs missing here.
