I had my first Fray Bentos experience last weekend and I've been canvassing opinions ever since.
I found it ok, but a lot of people I've spoken to seem to think they're amazing!
They're not even a proper pie because they have no base.

So I thought I'd widen my research base and what better place to find a bunch of rational and random opinions than Fetch.
If you have an opinion, please voice it here. And if you don't then you need to try a Fray Bentos pie.

I have no recent experience but nothing but fond memories of FB pies. Grandma used to have them and I loved spending time with her and Grandad so I might not be a completely objective judge. I don't think I've had one since I was about 12.

They are very popular at the food bank. I buy 6 at a time from B&M which sells them for half the price of Sainsburys- they are the first things to go from our extras table

They always seemed mad, the most ineeficient way to package a pie, probably as unhealthy a pie as you can get, but tasty, fond memories indeed, much like treacle and chocolate puddings in tins too.

I think we grew up on this sort of stuff, dad worked earlies, mum lates and sometimes, both, so speed was of the essence.

I can taste kidney just from looking at an unopened tin. I hate kidney.
