What happens if the team you supported no longer exists?
I used to follow Hereford United but have never really followed the phoenix club and felt the way they treated their first manager was disgraceful IMO
FWIW I have always been a closet liverpool fan, growing up in the 80s was the obvious choice for someone with minimal local choice

I think my closest 4 by christy's rule would be Villa, Walsall, Tamworth, and Sutton Town. Fortunately small heath would be next on the list, so I dodged that bullet...

I don’t care where I was born.
Frank Skinner always used to champion the same rule, until he realised his son should be a Chelsea fan, then he revised his thinking.
I was raised to support United because my Dad did, I am very, very grateful for that.

My granny,s cousin was part of the famous five and won league titles with hibs. That’s good enough reason.
I happened to be born within a couple of miles of Easter road which helps.

Give it to Carrick permanently! He’s a winner with a 100% winning record as manager.😉

Have you watched the doc about Macclesfield Town?
Yes I have, it's very good. And being a small club with a small fan vase, I know all of the supporters that are shown in there too!!

If we went by the "where were you born?" rule, I'd have to be a Wrexham of Tranmere fan. Eek.
Wednesday 0, Franchise FC 1. Boooo.
