Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Good luck with the session Daz. I can't programme my garmin for swimming but find that keeping careful count of lengths (Garmin will total the distance for me) and using the red hand on the swim clock to time recoveries works well enough.

Nellers, I struggle with the 'fist' drills too - I sink far more! Really have to focus on good rotation. My instructor currently has me using a paddle held backwards so it forces a straight hand and wrist (I guess a version of that weird finis trainer from a few pages back) but this is to stop me bailing out of my pull too early, as the paddle means it will suddenly get a lot harder if I do.

Also realised during this morning's swim that my recently-acquired achy lower leg may not be a running thing but due to my newfound love of fins...going to try using them for a few specific drills only and see what happens.

I wasn't swimming at all for the last one. What sort of distance is it usually? I'm probably in whatever it is, though, to be fair.

All will be revealed soon.

All I will say, Nellers, is you won't have a problem completing it.

Oh, fair enough then. It'll be nice to finish one of these for a change. I'm almost at the last-but-one checkpoint on the 2023 bike challenge after my spin at lunchtime! ;-)
