Mind you, there would probably be a strong urge just to keep it. The Higgs Boson occasionally pops up in central London - not sure where else it goes on its travels.

It has occurred to me that it would be good if the ring rolled itself in a vaguely appropriate direction one mile a day, if it abandoned itself somewhere remote. I could log it as a suggestion if the idea appeals to a number of us.
