Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Welcome, ginger..... I love your openness!!!

I weigh first thing on a Tuesday morning, stark naked, breathing in, and after having a wee. And if it feels like I can do more than a wee (if you know what I mean), I will do.

I weigh other times as well... but Tuesday morning is the official number. That's what I update the spreadsheet with. I have a funky internet-enabled scale, so every time I weigh it gets uploaded to a website. But what I do is delete all the readings except for Tuesdays and today. So I get the reinforcement/warning of a daily number, but also the longer view looking back to see that this is working.

I've had some good numbers on my interim weigh-ins so far, and since I'm fasting today (as every Monday), I'm looking forward to a good update tomorrow.

I always weigh first thing in the morning to get my weekly weight. Weight every day (at least once) but count the weight on same day, before breakfast, each week as "the one".

TD, I changed to online shopping about a month ago. My shopping bill is down by an average of Β£30 a week already because I'm not buying any special offers; BOGOFs, "nices", clothes, cushions, candles or anything else that takes my fancy. I plan my week's meals, order online for a mid-week delivery and pop to the local Co-op if I need to top up any veg after that. It saves quite a lot of time too. NB - I accidentally bought 5kg of sugar last week and 4 pints of milk instead of the usual 1kg sugar and 2 pints of milk because I couldn't see the size of the containers on the shelves....but that will have saved money in the long term too I guess :)

Well.... I double-checked my figures.... and I have to add a couple of caveats in that a) I shifted last week's fast day from Monday to Tuesday, which means the past 7 days included two days of fasting, and b) I did have a small gain at last WI, probably post-indulgence water weight, and c) I slept poorly last night, which always leaves me a bit dehydrated, but....

I've lost 5lb in the past week!!
And have now passed 4 stone overall!!!

I know I'll be up a bit over the next few days as some water returns.... in fact I'll be quite OK with a STS or minuscule loss next week. But, today, I am feeling good :-)

fab Rev :)

I came home from a weekend away, with hotel breakfasts and lots of eating out to husband having ordered chinese for dinner.

Weigh in of a STS this AM from lowest last week. I'll take that as a big win :)
I had one v small desert, no bread, pasta, rice or sweets/chocolate but ate more than plenty.

Not eating carbs makes such a difference to weight loss doesn't it, RH :)

It really does. Would be easier if there weren't so many in the house _ and alcohol wasn't really a carb too
