I don’t know whether I should be on this thread or things you can't say/piss you off/whatever thread. I was really happy to find out I'll be assigned to a diabetes prevention programme and I'm all excited about it. I told my old collague who I've been friendly with, and it was clear from her response what her thoughts about it were. How ridiculous that as an overweight person I should be allocated to such a job. She can kiss my butt and I'll enjoy the job and other people's company, who are supportive, rather than her.

Many congrats on the new role Cuddy. I would argue that someone who has struggled with their weight is in a much better position to be effective in a diabetes prevention role because they truly understand the challenges that people face in achieving a weight which lowers diabetes risk. I'm sure you'll do brilliantly.
