The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
Phew! Mr Ness took a bit longer than usual to finish his weight training so I had a bit more time. I worked out how to use Spotify on my phone. Hopefully have successfully bookmarked the podcast so I can find it on that again next week. Thanks for such a moving podcast this week, Ian and Katie. It was a lovely tribute to KOG.
I think the expression is just "cyclists are just injured runners", which actually is a compliment to cyclists cos I guess they aren't injured as often as runners!
I was a cyclist (mountain biker) before I was a runner. And only (re-)started cycling (one triathlon and some commute cycling) because I was an injured runner. So I can sympathise with both views!
Maybe I'll play your podcast to the horses, see if they like it?! G
Oh and I reviewed my race as all 5 stars because it was just the way I like races. Except race photos because Slow was too engrossed in his book to take a photo at the finish line.
But yes, it wasn't so much organised as cheekily put into the race calender so I could get race times in my portfolio since I'm not likely to be going anywhere near an actual race start line any time soon thank you very much.
Roo Race #2 will probably be a 5K between Christmas and New Year. But I might do a Roo Race #1.5 test 5K sooner...
IoW cyclists - having grown up there I was quick to buy a moped as soon as I turned 16, those hills can be evil! That's the point at which I guess my waistline started to spread even more.
The one who cycle there now are very different from the teen I was! It's beautiful, though. (And most of the roads seem to have been resurfaced.) Sounds like A Plan in the making.
Loved Scribs race recording. Inspired by her, I will try to record at my half mara in 10 days time. I will be going slowly so can take my phone in a bag. Might even try and record some folk at the start or along the way? G
