I think we should just strap a webcam to Stephen and see what he finds interesting while he's tip-tapping around in the background and, just as important, what makes him yawn.
Lovely podcast. I especially liked Team Archers even though I've never listened to an episode. Sounds like a fun day out for all.
Today I listened on my usual route back home (with 1km extra as crossfit gym has moved) but last week, I was here in Caithness with my not very responsible pacemaker, Athena. She was my dad's.
I went down to Lough Melvin this evening to listen. No picture this time because it was really overcast.
I really liked all the contributions this week, but the Archers visit was particularly good. I have never listened to it but BaronessBL did a fabulous job of interviewing people. She sounded like a full time radio correspondent.
That was brill. Sorry to hear that Katie is still suffering. Back, and then secondary, referred pains, horrible.
After my (2nd or 3rd) back pain, slipped disc or whatever trauma it actually was, I had about 6 months where my right leg had various symptoms due to the nerve damage (or as KB says, the brain "remembering" the pain of the back damage) - right glute, hamstring, calf and down to the foot itself. Everything from numbness and aching, to stabbing, sharp pains.
I can happily say a couple of years later that they are all gone and just subsided with time (and usual massage, stretching, some dry needling etc.) You will be back and pain free, it just takes a wee while. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Loved Sweetie's recording - I'm not a swimmer, but just the insight and enthusiasm about the coaching session was great. The mediocre leisure centre review was fab - not mediocre at all, tho kudos for swimming through kiddy soup. And BaronessBL and the Archers' fans was brilliant. Would love a visit to "Ambridge", might treat myself one day. I'm 34 years a fan, on and off. First listened when my dad was into it when I was about 16. Lots of births, marriages, divorces and deaths in that time. I still enjoy it, periodically.
Volume was great, and your banter brightened up my dull commute again nicely. Thank you guys. You are tops. G
Thank you all - we had such fun in 'Ambridge' and even though I had never met any of the others before, they were all lovely people and very easy to chat to because I can actually be quite shy in real life - maybe a bit less so now I am middle-aged (old!) admittedly but the shyness is still there in the background!

Contributors We love getting contributions. Here's how:
1) find somewhere with minimal background noise 2) recording on a smartphone is fine 3) start with "Hello Fetchies, it's..." 4) a couple of minutes is a good length 5) don't worry about ums, aahs and pauses. We can edit them out. 6) email the file to podcast@fetcheveryone.com
