Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Pub clarification question for Silvershadow: 'The Three Horseshoes' - on the picture board that swings around in the wind outside this pub (I'm sure it has a special name but I don't know what it is) there is a picture of three horseshoes, a blacksmith and a horse (a total of 6 legs). Does this qualify or not for a pub with legs? The only other pub I run near is the Hoops - which obviously doesn't qualify.

Ooh - it's like pub cricket! I haven't played that for years. We used to have endless arguments about whether it was the picture on the sign or the name of the pub that counted.

And I still don't know how many runs you should get when you see a pub called "The Army and Navy". ;)

If you happen to get the Army and Navy you automatically win Synge. Shame the only one I knew of that name no longer exists really!

There's supposed to be a pub in the south of England called the Million Hare. Would the lack of 's' on the end of hare mean that this is only worth 4 runs?

In my head it's the pub name that counts. So Three horseshoes don't have any legs.
but I don't really mind.

Two red kites overhead as we finished our run today. Perfect for the 'look up' category, except for 3 issues
1) I only had my little camera
2) the red kites weren't playing fair and kept moving into the sun

3) by the time I'd got indoors, got the camera, changed the lens, they'd gone

I may have to enter 'blue sky thinking' instead
