I'd drink Wherry over Shingle Shells any day - not one of my favourites from Adnams. Had a nice pint of Adnams Old last night though.....

Drinking a Scottish porter last night called Midnight Sun by Williams Bros brewery, Alloa. Very good it was. Not so good on my head today mind.

I bought myself a few decent beers to have over the Christmas/ New Year - one a day probably. No Midnight Sun (which I like as well) but I do have Williams Bros March Of The Penguins .
Last night I had Adnams Broadside, just the thing at 11pm after a gruelling day (!) of shopping and training.

Broadside was super strong in bottles. 4.7 on draft, 6.3 in a bottle.
A long time ago on a night out we went to a pub, that had just reopened and didn't have a line of credit a brewery, so bottles in the main. We had quite a few Broadsides, unaware of the difference, before meeting up with other friends late. We didn't make much sense by the end of the evening apparently.

Broadside usually found in Sainsbury's. Ghost Ship not bad either but have to get this delivered online as well as other of the Adams brands.
