Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I went to the Tib Street Tavern in that there Northern Quarter last night, a bit modern and trendy for me as pubs go, however a very nice couple of pints from the Blackedge brewery.

In the evening star in Brighton drinking a pint of Cloudwater US Light Comet 3.6%. Delightful stuff. Crisp, citrus, hoppy, and refreshing as fuck. Really hitting the spot on this balmy evening.

A bottle of this from a little Staffordshire Brewery. 30th Birthday yesterday so the missus thought it would be funny...was actually quite tasty!

Our local pub is serving a beer from a brewery in Wiltshire - Stonehenge Ales - called Sign of Spring. It's 4.6% and green in colour :-o It looks like you are being served a pint of washing up liquid, but it's surprisingly tasty. I had perhaps a little more than I should have done last night, considering it's a weekday today :-)

I've had that Green Stuff at the Swindon Beer Festival a few years back.

A new pub has re-opened down the road, The Spring Gardens, it is attached to a brewery (Fool Hardy Ales), 4 of their own on pumps, plus two others and a load of bottled beers, in all I counted 56 on their menu, that's a lot of visits.

The evening star is a cracking wee pub isn't it! Really like the vibe and the selection there.

That green stuff sounds, well, interesting! I'd definitely give it a try though!

Green beer goes back to the Forties. No wait, the Thirties - especially for women who didn't want their beer to look like beer. boakandbailey.com

I had some Kelburn Jaguar last night. Top pint. Kelburn brew consistently good beers but I think the Jaguar is my favourite (Champion Beer of Britain: Silver supreme champion 2015).
