Don't resign until you go back. Make sure you accrue everything you can.

So I’m leaving on Friday. This can’t come too soon. The stress and the hours are just outrageous and the last 3 weeks in particular have been such a struggle. I didn’t want to be signed off with stress so mat leave it is 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 hopefully I might sleep at night now.
31 weeks and I’m huge, a few people have also independently said my bump has dropped this week, doesn’t that mean that giving birth isn’t too far away?!
Totally exhausted and struggling to even get out walking much but hoping having some daylight and not being at work will help. It all got a bit real this weekend buying his crib and couple of other bits ☺️ Really looking forward to a spa day on Saturday, Xmas, then just doing not much for a couple weeks as I just need a break from life.
Then I really must get onto selling this house and buying another one 😱🙈 the first few months until we move are going to be the biggest squeeze ever- 5 in a small 2 bed house 😂😂

Yay to maternity leave GF! Work has been stressful this week - 24 hour oncall with 5 and a half hours sleep is ok just now but not sure how it will be at 30+ weeks!
good luck with the house buying/ selling!!

How are the new mums? Lou, you getting on ok? And anyone else newly up the duff?
I’m 36 and a bit weeks now, pretty done and ready for him to come out! Leaving work was one of my best ever life decisions, it’s been great. I had grand plans for mat leave, but actually the last 2-3 weeks, simple tasks are about all I’ve been capable of 😂 Enjoyed lunch/coffee dates though.... can’t really walk more than 4-5 miles tops (3 is more comfortable) as there is SO much pressure down *there* Midwife said today head is so far engaged she couldn’t even feel it, can only feel shoulders upwards so maybe that’s what causes all the pressure and hopefully he will be out soon! Sleep isn’t that easy any more either 🙈

24 weeks here - very little exercise mainly due to work! I’m working till 36 weeks hopefully - though hoping to come off the oncall Rota by 30 weeks.
Doing a weights session each week and trying to get some walks in. Haven’t ran since first trimester - didnt feel like it and felt I’d be judged running being “high risk” though my obstetrician has run the west highland way race and other ultras 😂😂

Any good tips relating to heartburn?!
I quite like the taste (!) of Rennies so have been having those, they work for a few minutes but other than that I now have heartburn all day, every day and it’s making things a bit miserable to be honest, I slept pretty much sitting up last night. Or at this stage with no room left inside is this just how it is until he’s out?! I also don’t want to just keep throwing Rennies down my throat either 😳

I would swig from a bottle of gavescon. Probably not an improvement to throwing Rennies down your throat! I had it more mid term so not sure if you're stuck with it.

Trebor extra strong mints are good, I think.
