I used to get gaviscon on prescription (huge bottle!) and swig it out the bottle too - it worked! Even had some by my bed! If it's any consolation, my heartburn eased in the last few weeks of being preg once the baby 'dropped'. Thinking of you lovely ladies, exciting times! xx

Unfortunately he has very much dropped (!) and the head has fully engaged so I can’t look forward to that helping lol.
It’s been at least easier to breathe now his feet are out of my ribs 😃

I’m due tomorrow 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
So much for not being able to carry a child to term!
Midwife coming to the house tomorrow, plan was to give me a sweep but I think I’m going to decline this to try and avoid as much intervention as possible. It seems very early to start messing with things, especially as I realise inducing things is usually more painful and I can only have gas/air.
Been a pretty shitty last couple weeks, day 14 of plague- tonsillitis and bronchitis- had worst sore throat ever, antibiotics I’m not sure are working so guess it’s viral? All I can say is I really hope I don’t have to have a C section as the stitches won’t last 5 minutes. At least the throat pain that was horrendous is dying now 😃 I’m so totally exhausted though, haven’t been able to sleep through the night due to cough/throat etc and that’s before he even gets here 🙈🙈🙈🙈

Hi everyone
It got mentioned on a separate thread on here but just to say that little Harry arrived on 25.2.19 at 18.20pm, emergency section as I had sepsis. I was induced on Sat at 9am, and by the time I had the section on Monday evening I’d still only just made it to 4cm dilated so he wasn’t in a hurry to come out! We were in hospital 9 days as he had issues keeping any food down, and had to be transferred to see specialists in Southampton but he is all good now and we are home, and although he’s very tiring (I hope you get used to this!) he is absolutely adorable and we love him so much. I have a bit of a way to get back to healthy enough to do everything I want to be doing with him but just so relieved to be home and that my precious bundle is all ok 💕😍💙

Glad you're both home safely. I'm not sure you exactly get used to the tiredness but you get through and eventually they get big enough to bring you tea in bed.
Anyone remember when Mik and I started this thread? Well my little bump is 11 tomorrow.

Hope you and H are doing well Heather!
30 weeks now! Don’t know how I’ll ever become a runner again! Not that I’m all that fussed if I’m honest.

Hi 👋🏻
We had our 6 week check today, totally pointless, GP wanted us in and out ASAP. They didn’t even weigh him as they couldn’t find any scales. Thankfully the HV is coming tomorrow so can do all that. He’s colicy and it’s hard and I don’t really know what to do but she just said everything would sort out eventually for me and him. I had a list of questions but she just dismissed everything and said just wait everything out.
She said I could get back on a bike today so I will do that later, but running she said at least 3 months, preferably 6. Clearly 6 is nonsense. I don’t feel ready yet but don’t like the idea of 3 months either, I wish you could see what the internal healing looked like!! The scar feels totally fine, it just all feels a bit sort of ‘unstable’ underneath it!
