Nope. Mr LF is looking to change jobs and reduce his hours so we can share things out a bit by both being part time. I soooo hope things work out. It would be really cool for Cedd to grow up in a home where responsibilities are shared based on interests and concern for each other rather than simply on gender. *slopes off to be a hippy*

Hello, hope it's ok me popping in here as I'm NOT pregnant - or going to be. I realise everyone is probably different, but wondered when you found you needed to stop running, or how far you are and still running? Thanks

Rhino - am back to running a bit (getting pregnant coincided with a knee injury) at nearly three months pregnant, though cut down quite significantly since pre-pregnancy. V early pregnancy brought on some low blood pressure and dizziness/vision problems, so I chose not to run for about a month till that was sorted. Then morning sickness interfered a bit, though gentle running actually helped that a wee bit.
Have done a few runs over the past 3 weeks or so, mostly 3-5 miles but a couple of 7 mile 'long runs', all at a pretty easy pace (eg close to 30 mins for 3 miles, compared to 22-24 mins previously). Hoping to build back up to 2 short and one longish runs per week, but it'll all depend on how I feel. Couldn't really find any definitive advice on how often/fast/long to run when pregnant - advice varied from 'not at all' to 'it's still ok to do hillwork'. Keeping heart rate below 140 bpm is often bandied about, but at least one article admitted there was no scientific basis to that in terms of the baby's wellbeing!
