Hi Rhino - I gave up, firstly I felt too tired and sick for the first trimester then after that a light run resulting in all sorts of niggles, so I joined the gym and have been going there instead. I hope to make a storming return in 2008 beating my 5k and 10k times before aiming ultimately for the NY marathon in 2009.

Rhino - I gave up but because I had a few problems early on. I started swimming - which I hated at first but quite like now, especially since the fizz gave me magic pool exercises which fixed my dodgy hip, and do some antenatal yoga. Probably wouldn't have had the energy in the first 12 weeks anyway and these days I am too bumpy to feel as if I could run anway. I too plan to stage a magnificent comebck in 2008. Just before I was preggers I was finally speeding up to a respectable enough plod and I now have Mr LF's 10k time (about 90s quicker than my pb) to beat. |

I was the same LF - I ran a cracking 5k PB a week before i found out I was preggers...! So considering pregnancy is meant to make you stronger, we should both be mega afleets this time next year. LOL.

Doesn't bode well for my 3:10 pw for 16 miles before I did the preggy test :-/

I just ordered loads of fair trade/organic cute things. Somehow it seems worth the extra expense. Buying cheap babby stuff made in places with carp human rights records feels a bit like sticking 2 fingers up at other women and children who don't have as much say in their lives as I do. It feels even more immoral that cheap adult clothes.

Thanks for the welcome. I love slings! I have quite a collection. My favourite for a newborn is a hug-a-bub, similar to a Kari-me. I know the owner of littlepossums.com and she is very helpful and friendly if you need help choosing a sling. P |

Extremely happy to say that on Sunday the wonderful Mrs Breadbin produced another cob to add to the collection .. weighing in at 9lb 9oz .. quite a handy lad. Everyone doing well .. though I think this'll definitely be a cutback week in my running log :D |
