I do have an ulterior motive .B. - if I can make enough room on the shelves, I can move the children's toys and my old lp's out of the sauna and start using the sauna for what it was designed for instead of as a useful storage area! ;)

I have offered my thousands of plant pots to a new nursery. They have accepted! Hooray!

The proverbial win-win situation .. you are able to recycle things instead of dumping them .. and they are able to make use of their unexpected windfall.

Spotted on the internet:

"The more things you have, the more things you have to manage.

Simplicity isn't merely cheaper, it's easier."

Yes EP, it was.

The fewer things I have, the quicker (and easier) it is to tidy up (and keep tidy). It does help living mostly by myself in a small house.

I will be getting rid of more and more stuff I don't need the next few years. I don't want to move it to Italy with me!

Help advice and support for declutterers

Special May Challenge

theminimalists.com

".... This month, each of you must get rid of one thing on the first day. On the second, two things. Three items on the third. So forth, and so on. Anything can go! Clothes, furniture, electronics, tools, decorations, etc. Donate, sell, or trash. Whatever you do, each material possession must be out of your house—and out of your life—by midnight each day."
