Is anyone else doing any climbing specific training? I’ve been doing work since my shoulder injury last year. After lockdown 1 it really helped as I was through my old grades and higher when we started again.

Nothing specific. I’m hoping yoga and HIIT workouts will help with general core strength and balance. I’m running a bit and mountain biking for fitness. So demotivated over winter that I’m happy to come out with anything resembling strength or fitness.

Nope, but did start regular strength and core in March and noticed the difference when I did go back briefly.

I’m trying to focus on strength right now, not repping too high on weights or body weight exercises, then build endurance when back climbing. Fitness from running and walking whilst waiting for the wall to reopen.

I've put on loads of weight - I don't think that was the idea.

We were allowed to book a climb for the 12th of April from yesterday. So that’s what I did.
