I'm not able to write a column Synge, but we did have a half hour chat with the salesman and a full tour of the vehicle, including lying down on the flattened seats! We loved it and it seems like they are very popular because they are being snapped up. If we decide quickly we might get one by February, if we take our time it'll not be until April. They ship over around 2 vehicles per month. There are lots of extras like solar panels, heating, tow bar etc. Lots to think about.

Having previously owned a VW years ago and at a time we weren’t into our running and riding and decided it wasn’t for us without a fixed bed and a toilet we keep going round in circles about full on Moho or back to VW, finances now mean we are seriously looking around but still can’t decide between the flexibility of the VW and the comfort but less stealth of a larger Moho .. to help us decide between the two we’ve just booked to hire a VW camper for 3 days in October with a couple of nights at Castlerigg in Keswick and then we’ll do a wild camp night too ... very exciting 😱

Enjoy Gromit. Our recent trip to wales made us realise the camper is definitely the right way for us for the foreseeable future. Much more flexible and usable for nipping in and out of places than a motorhome

We like the flexibility of a camper rather than motorhome too.

We had a think and we've paid the deposit today! The van should be ready mid February (with heating) 😄. We're both very excited. Youngest son is the only one still at home with us and is not so sure, I think he thinks we'll drag him up mountains every weekend. Can't wait to join you all on the road.

Just back from three days in Pitlochry. We debated whether to go each way in a day in a car or to take two days each way in the van. The van won and we had a fantastic time, overnighting in the Eden Valley on the way up and the Peak District on the way back (total charge of £20 each time). Clocked up just over 1,000 miles and the driving was easy. We found a farm that offers occasional camping on the way back and had time to climb The Roaches. Here's where we stayed!
