Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

We have a drive away awning, no falling out caused by putting it up or taking it down!

Re attaching it, we had a figure of 8 attachment but found it didn’t hold in wet windy weather, so we just use the straps that came with the awning and attach by throwing them over the top of the van and pegging to the group the other side. Really easy. We do have a van with a hard high top not a pop top though.

K9, we recently got a quote for£350 to fit the rail. Too much for my liking at the moment, so we didn't pursue it. Might look into it again later though.

Thanks all.
Some useful pointers to get started with.
I'm getting some roof bars and a kayak carrying system fitted next month so might see if they can add on an awning rail at the same time.

We may not be able to get away but we can go to the beach for fish and chips and test out the heater and pop top

That looks like a perfect test drive Mandymoo!

Spent half an hour this morning descaling my fresh water tank level sensor rods as they have been stuck showing 50% full (or empty to some) for a week whatever the actual level - now sparkling clean and working.
In more good news Heko are replacing the wind deflector that snapped during installation - today is a good day 😃

He is called Floyd, his screen saver is Pink Floyd's dark side of the moon album cover and has some workds from wish you were here on the side of the van. OH is a Floyd fan in case you didn't guess 😂

If I had my way it would be called Moo

That’s good, I like the connections. I hate to think of a van without a name!

Ours is Bluebell because she is a bluebell ish colour. She is an older lady and I’m a keen gardener and it seemed to fit!
