Robins like wrens sing pretty much year round. They are very territorial

From bto: "...Robins defend territories throughout the year and Robin song can be heard both in winter and summer. During the winter, both sexes sing a rather weak and liquid song..." bto.org |

Walking in the woods yesterday I Merlinned (yes, perhaps a new verb ) a couple of shouty birds, it was a robin and a wren having an argument.

Female tawny owl calling this morning for the first time. We get the male a lot. Have to say... she's not my favourite 😆

We are surrounded by pinkies here. Hearing them get organised and fly off this morning was fabulous. We also have stereo Cettis hear calling back and forth across the river
